No. California notaries cannot provide legal advice, recommend forms, or explain legal documents. Please ensure, you know which type of notarization you are seeking and the document is complete prior to notarization.
Yes. California law requires notarial acts to be recorded in an official journal.
No. The signer(s) must be able to communicate directly with the notary. Translators are not allowed.

Yes. Documents intended for use outside California can often be notarized as long as the notarial act complies with California law.
